EU Product Compliance Representation

How we help

Use the product-specific EU compliance role, not a generic label

EU product rules use different roles depending on the legislation. Under the General Product Safety Regulation, for example, a responsible economic operator in the EU may be the manufacturer, importer, authorised representative or, in defined circumstances, a logistics service provider in the circumstances defined by the legislation. Other product regimes can impose different roles and duties.

We therefore start with the product category and applicable legislation, then determine whether an authorised representative, responsible person, importer or another EU-established economic operator is the relevant route within our service scope.

Compliance assessment

Identify the product category and the EU representation requirement that applies to it.

Role and mandate setup

Put the appropriate EU-established role or written mandate in place where the applicable legislation and our service scope allow it.

Document and label review

Organise the technical, registration and labelling information attached to the representative role.

Process

Product compliance starts with the applicable legislation

The role is determined from the product category, supply chain and legislation before any appointment is proposed.
